What size is an Instagram post?

1080 × 1080 px for a square post and 1080 × 1350 px for a portrait post (4:5).

How do I make a carousel post?

Add more pages to your design. When you download all pages as PNG or JPG, they come together in a ZIP file.

Should I choose PNG or JPG?

An Instagram post is seen in the feed on a phone, often only for a moment, so the image has to tell the story quickly.

Gut zu wissen

Posts are 1080 × 1080 px as a square or 1080 × 1350 px as a 4:5 portrait, which takes up more of the screen. Change the text, colours and pictures in your browser, and use your own photos and logo so your posts are recognisably yours. Keep the headline short, make the text large enough to read on a phone, and make sure it contrasts well with the background. If you make a carousel with several slides, the pages download together as a ZIP file. Choose PNG for designs with text and graphics, or JPG for posts that are mostly photos. Then your post is ready to upload.
