For agencies

The client's file in. Print-ready PDF out.

An agency lives on print that comes off the press right. HeyMadeIt opens the client's IDML and PDF files, lets the whole team work in them and delivers a PDF/X-4 the printer can run, with preflight and cut lines on Professional.

  • IDML and PDF in
  • PDF/X-4, CMYK, 3 mm
  • Cut lines and spot colours

What makes the difference

  • The client's files, right away

Upload an IDML package with links and fonts, or a PDF. We build the design in the background and send an email when it is ready.

  • Proofing without email threads

Send the client a link to view the design, or invite them to comment. The comment sits on the element it is about, and you fix it in the same place.

  • The file the printer wants

PDF/X-4 in ISO Coated v2 with 3 mm bleed and crop marks. Professional checks the file thoroughly before download and puts cut lines on plates of their own.

How it works

  1. Import the client's file

An IDML package or a PDF. The design is built in the background, and you get an email.

  2. Edit, and collect the comments

The team works in the same design, and the client comments where it makes sense.

  3. Deliver to print

Download PDF/X-4 with bleed and marks, and on Professional with cut lines and spot colours.

Questions and answers

  • How accurately is an IDML file imported?

If the PDF exported from the file is in the package, we set every line as it stood there. Without it we set the text ourselves, and a line may break differently. The import report shows what was adjusted.

  • Does the client have to pay to comment?

No. The client needs a free account to comment. It is your team that needs Business or Professional.

  • Can we have a brand kit per client?

Yes. The team can have several brand kits, one for each client, with their logos, colours and fonts.

  • What is the difference between Business and Professional?

Business is the team, collaboration and comments. Professional adds the print tools: advanced preflight, spot colours, more print presets and cut lines for cutting tables.

  • Can we deliver open files back?

We deliver PDFs and images: Print PDF, Standard PDF, PNG and JPG. We do not export back to IDML.
